Why Multi-Weight Hyaluronic Acid

Hyaluronic acid can hold many times its weight in water — but not all of it behaves the same way. Its molecular weight determines where in the skin it can actually go to work.

Most formulas use one weight of HA. Some use two. MUTHALOAD uses four. Larger molecules stay near the surface to smooth, soften, and lock moisture in; smaller ones travel deeper to hydrate and plump from within. Working together, they hydrate across multiple layers at once — not just the very top.

The difference you feel is hydration that looks immediate and holds — not a quick plump that fades by mid-morning, but skin that stays cushioned.

The Base Matters

Why Aloe Instead of Water

Most skincare is mostly water. It's the cheapest possible base — an inexpensive filler that dilutes a formula and does little for skin on its own.

Read a MUTHA ingredient list and the first line isn't water. It's aloe barbadensis leaf juice. Aloe is a functional base, not a filler: it brings its own humectant sugars, polysaccharides, and soothing compounds, so the foundation of the formula is already hydrating and calming before a single active is added.

Choosing aloe over water costs more and is more deliberate. It's the kind of decision that never shows up on a claim — but shows up on skin.
